Achievement of Ardakan University Student in the 16th Cultural and Sports Olympiad for Female Students of Universities and Higher Education Centers Nationwide

Zahra Pourabbasi Ardakani, a bachelor’s student in the field of Sports Sciences, brought honor to Ardakan University at the 16th National Student Sports Championship Olympiad. Ms. Pourabbasi Ardakani achieved third place in the karate category and was awarded the bronze medal in this competition.

Alireza Rezapour in badminton and Ali Valipour in wrestling were other Ardakan University students who secured fifth place in their respective events.

The 16th Cultural and Sports Olympiad for students was held from August 7 to August 16, 2024 (16th to 25th of Mordad 1403 in the Iranian calendar). The men’s section took place at the University of Isfahan, and the women’s section was held at Isfahan University of Technology, featuring competitions in 13 different sports.

Ardakan University participated in the sports of badminton, wrestling, taekwondo, wushu, and karate, for which it had quotas. Ultimately, Ardakan University earned 10 points in the overall university rankings.
